{"id":994,"date":"2025-12-04T09:19:17","date_gmt":"2025-12-04T08:19:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/khboeckstiegel-foundation.org\/?page_id=994"},"modified":"2025-12-04T09:23:47","modified_gmt":"2025-12-04T08:23:47","slug":"karl-heinz-boeckstiegel-foundation-scholarship-for-attending-the-icca-congress-in-madrid","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/khboeckstiegel-foundation.org\/en\/karl-heinz-boeckstiegel-foundation-scholarship-for-attending-the-icca-congress-in-madrid\/","title":{"rendered":"Karl-Heinz B\u00f6ckstiegel Foundation Scholarship for Attending the ICCA Congress in Madrid"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>THE KARL-HEINZ B\u00d6CKSTIEGEL FOUNDATION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Karl-Heinz B\u00f6ckstiegel Foundation (<a href=\"https:\/\/khboeckstiegel-foundation.org\/en\/\">www.khboeckstiegel-foundation.org<\/a>) was set up in 2021 by Karl-Heinz B\u00f6ckstiegel: it is a non-profit foundation established for the purpose of promoting science and research in the field of arbitration by&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>conducting and supporting scientific events and research projects,&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>funding dissertations and other publications,&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>supporting projects to promote arbitration and&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>providing support to moot courts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>THE SCHOLARSHIP<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The scholarship will offer a number of young academics (born in 1986 or later) financial support to attend the ICCA Congress from 12 to 15 April 2024 in Madrid. The program is open to young academics who have already been working on arbitration projects (like for example a PhD thesis) and who would otherwise not be able to attend the ICCA Congress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The scholarship will cover&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>the ICCA Congress registration fee (limited to the registration fee applicable to full-time academics of EUR 1,143.45 including VAT),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>travel costs (based on respective receipts) up to an amount of&nbsp;<ul><li>EUR 400 for a flight time up to four hours,<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>EUR 700 up to seven hours, and<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>EUR 1,000 in case of more than seven hours flight time, and<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>accommodation costs (based on respective receipts) up to an amount of EUR 400.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants are invited to submit their applications together with&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>a CV,&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>evidence of their academic credentials,&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a description of the academic projects in the field of arbitration on which the applicant worked in the past and\/or is currently working on, and&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a description of why participation at the ICCA Congress is particularly helpful for her\/his work and why the scholarship is necessary to make the Applicant\u2019s attendance possible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications are to be submitted by close of business on&nbsp;<strong>5 January 2026 (<\/strong>or any notified extended deadline) to the email-address:&nbsp;info@khboeckstiegel-foundation.org.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before submitting an application, please review the Scholarship\u2019s&nbsp;<em>full terms and conditions<\/em>, available on this website<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SELECTION PROCESS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the final application date, all applications will be reviewed by the Young ICCA Selection Committee, which has kindly agreed to review and assess the applications, based on the above-mentioned application requirements, also taking into account considerations of diversity, following which it will provide a recommendation to the Karl-Heinz B\u00f6ckstiegel Foundation.
